How EGR works on the LML
EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) routes a portion of hot exhaust gas back into the intake to lower combustion temperatures and cut NOx emissions. On the LML, exhaust gas is pulled off the manifold, run through a liquid-cooled EGR cooler, metered by the EGR valve, and dumped back into the intake stream.
